My most recent work Narrow Seas is an ongoing journey that I am making through the coastal regions of Britain where they sit across the sea from mainland Europe.

At a time when we have decided to culturally and practically isolate ourselves from our neighbours, it feels ironic to me that the edges of our island are also eroding, slipping into the water and making us an ever-smaller version of ourself.

This is a work made on the land but about the sea, about its physical presence, the influence it has on the people close to it, and how it represents things that we are reluctant to let go of.

I am using my old and broken camera to try and understand what is broken and why we are afraid of what is over the water.
